At 2Mynds our goal is to help you improve your mental fitness through ‘Mind-Body Training’ or MBT. Of course, we are not the first to use the term ‘Mind-Body Training’, but we are the first to make it cool! We use MBT as a system to combine and alternate mind (mental) and body (physical) exercises. It is much more fun (and functional) than just mental training alone.
MBT is a step-by-step approach
MBT is not just a mix of mental and physical exercises. There is a specific start and finish and a specific order of progressions. Although the length of an MBT session can vary (you can make it as long or short as you want), it has two types of components: mind and body. The mind and body components come in the form of switches (at start and finish), a warm up, mental training, or physical training. You will always start with a mind component – an alpha switch – in which you take a short moment to get your mind into a calm but alert and observing state. The alpha switch is followed by a physical warm up, after which the main training starts, consisting of one or more mind and an equal number of body components. The training ends with another mind switch, focusing on externalizing your awareness and getting ready for what’s beyond the MBT: life, sports, school, or work.
We have tested our training extensively and will continue to do so as we expand. So far, the main feedback is: “Man, it works!” Don’t take our word for it, try it for yourself!
Movement from the ground up
The physical implementation of 2Mynds MBT is literally as down to earth as possible: use your body weight and start with stability on the surface you move on. All movement originates from stability, from the very beginning as a baby: without a stable core we could not sit or even turn. As we became more stable, we started reaching, rotating, sliding – we became mobile. The last step was transferring that stability and movement into agility. We became quicker, more reactive, and we started playing. This is the approach we follow and recommend for the physical parts of our workouts: stability – mobility – agility – play.
We also try to keep things functional, so we don’t use fancy tools. At most you will see simple things such as resistance bands, small rollers, gymnastic rings, and the occasional yoga block (only stuff you can take with you when you travel). The free and plus workouts are general and work on mind and body skills that help anyone. The pro level workouts include skill developments for specific sports. We will soon provide monthly or annual subscriptions for the workouts and if you want to learn more about a specific topic you can also make a one-time purchase of an online program that teaches you the details.
Designing and organizing mental training is tough. What is called mental training often doesn’t amount to training (it can be more talking than actual training). Meditative exercises can be seen as training, but meditation is often presented in a very limited way. You may think it’s passive or serious, but it can (and should) be so much more than that. This is why we use functional meditation, a flavor of meditation that you can learn more about on this website. As you will see in our training, this kind of meditation can be fun and functional.
Functionality is different for everyone, but when it comes to mental performance, you need it most when you are stressed. That means your training should incorporate and closely mimic the stress you will experience in life and in competition so that you truly develop your skills at the brink of your comfort zone. The easiest (and most fun) way to develop progressive stress in mental training is to add physical exercises to the mix. We are still scratching our head as to why nobody thought of that before…
Become a 2Mynds coach
As a certified and registered coach, you get a branded group in the system and become eligible for transferring discounts to your students and receiving commissions on subscription and program sales. With the group, students will recognize your logo every time they do a workout in the app or do a program online. You can also follow the progress of anyone in your group via your coaching tools.
Getting certified and registered can be done in two ways: (1) via the online workshop and gathering sufficient workout points, or (2) via the hands-on training workshop. As of 2019 we are officially starting collaborations with national and regional sports organizations. See our events calendar for more about events and workshops.

Although we are just getting started and are taking it slow so we can optimize things as we go, we have college teams doing it, academies doing it, professional athletes doing it. Just start in a way that works for you: using our online e-learning programs to learn the ropes first or diving directly into workouts in the app.
Although we have everything online that you need to train independently, it’s much more fun in a group. This is why we train coaches and organizations so they can create an environment in which you learn and motivate each other. Check out some of our featured partners below:
