Leon is a medical scientist and the founder of 2Mynds. He has a long history of competitive sports and he was a national champion in Judo and a top ranked junior in tennis in the Netherlands. He did not pursue sports professionally, but became a physical therapist and later decided to make a career in health care research. Leon has two PhDs and has extensive experience in advising complex decisions in drug development. As an assistant and associate professor, he taught medical statistics, clinical epidemiology, and research methodology at Kitasato University School of Medicine and guest lectured at various universities around the globe.
From his early twenties to late thirties he practiced aikido and iaido intensively and lived and worked in Japan for 8 years. Over the years he developed his own method of functional meditation and this ultimately led to the development of the 2Mynds system for mind-body training for mental fitness. Besides his scientific and personal credentials, Leon is also a certified Meditation Instructor and Personal Fitness Trainer. Leon is a lifelong learner and he continues to pursue learning as much as teaching.
