It all started with the idea to make mental fitness training as normal as physical training. When one of us got really sick, we saw the urgency to do something with that idea. So here we are, actually doing it, changing a paradigm, and providing cool tools to help people engage in mental fitness training. And while we are getting started by working with high-performance athletes right now, be assured that our vision extends far beyond that. So join us in taking a different perspective (sometimes literally) towards mental fitness and let us help you take the first steps (that’s actually the name of our free introductory program)!
We believe current society, including the world of sports, has been looking at mental and physical training all wrong. The mind and body cannot be separated – they are a package deal and training of them should not be separated to simply accommodate the training experts. It is our mission to make the world a bit more mentally fit in terms of fundamental skills that transcend specific situations. We are starting in the world of sports and are making mental skill training part of everyday athletic development.
We try to keep our team like we keep our minds and bodies: focused and lean. We all contribute everything, but the day-to-day organization and content development is headed by Leon Bax. Liane leads the operational aspects and Stefanie coordinates the way we reach the world (and you’ll see her in our workouts).
Although we take care of day to day developments, we all strongly feel that we are just passing along many years of experience from incredible people who have been kind and patient enough to teach us in meditation, martial arts, survival skills, physical therapy, and health sciences. Although we take responsibility for all errors and issues, we can’t take credit for all the cool stuff.
Are you feeling the stress of your challenges in life, sports, school or work? Are you interested in growing your mind and body together in fun workouts? We promise 2Mynds will provide you with a fun way of getting started on your journey of mental skill empowerment. You can customize your training as you go, but we suggest you start by learning about how it works.
If you are reading this, you are already at the doorstep of the 2Mynds platform, the place from where we deliver our e-learning programs, our workouts, and our application videos. All you have to do is register or login and you’ll step into the 2Mynds world of testing, learning, training, and applying mental fitness skills. As soon as you login, the whole site changes to optimize your learning and training and we recommend you to use a mobile device so you can make optimal use of our web app!
We believe that life is about growth. Every single one of us has experienced moments where we felt stuck in the mud, or felt buried under things piling up. This makes us all like lotus flowers — blossoms that grow from muddy, shallow water. Our logo represents this concept of personal growth, complete with a reflection to remind us where we come from. The name 2Mynds takes us from the duality of natural beauty and mud to the duality of our mindsets: simply being or doing in the moment or lingering in the past or future. These mindsets are both powerful and they are ours to engage and control, in the right moment and the right place.
Think for a moment how fitness coaches use systems to train themselves and then train you (Crossfit, TRX, Zumba, Body Pump, and many more). Now think about mental coaches. How many of them do you know who use a progressive system for mental fitness training? Well, we’re changing all that!
The 2Mynds system implements a unique training approach that helps you step by step with learning, training, applying, and evaluating. First you learn how to train, then you develop your skills in workouts, you apply your skills in functional situations, you evaluate, and you repeat! We call it mind-body training (or a cool acronym if you’re into that stuff: MBT). Everything you need will be in the TRAIN module of our platform and under the fire button in the web app.
